Federal Funding Academy

Austin, TX - February 21 & 22, 2018
Training Details

A THREE-DAY, COMPREHENSIVE FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING ON FEDERAL GRANTS

This comprehensive three-day overview of the federal grants system, covers everything from the legal underpinnings of the system, through procurement and subaward requirements, cost issues, and audit resolution.  Attorneys Ted Waters, Scott Sheffler, and Jerry Bertrand dive deeply into the material, making it an ideal course for those with intermediate levels of expertise, while remaining suitable and highly effective for newcomers to federal grants.

This training addresses the regulatory requirements applicable to the most critical areas of grant management, while providing a more in-depth discussion of the regulatory language and effective implementation – particularly where the regulations are ambiguous.  The training is suited to recipients managing grants in any federal grant program as well personnel from nonprofits, local governments, institutions of higher education, and state governments.

Additionally, Ted Waters, Scott Sheffler, and Jerry Bertrand are accessible throughout the three days for discussions of advanced issues specific to your organization.  This accessibility makes the training an excellent opportunity for you and your whole grants management team to have your questions answered and directly apply what you are learning during the sessions.

From our experience, we can confidently say that the majority of the challenges faced by grantees across the country are the same, regardless of federal program and regardless of the nature of the recipient.  Join us and your grant management colleagues as we discuss how to navigate this system effectively.
